Blueberry Scones Recipe

what you need:
2.5 cups of all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 and 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup of butter (one slim stick) COLD
(frozen is good too)
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup sour cream
1/3 cup cream (half half works too)
1 cup of blueberries – fresh not frozen
lemon zest would be good too- but I didn’t have

(optional) but if you want super easy icing I just mixed icing sugar and water lol and drizzled that on

ok so..
mix all the dry ingredients in one bowl
mix all the wet ingredients in another bowl
take a cheese grater and grate the hard and cold butter into the dry ingredients. mix it very well.
then pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix well with your hands until the dough is formed then after fold in the berries and create a round mold. be mindful not to knead- just gently mix, ok?

you want your circle (refer to this video) to be a bit thick because you want those thicccc scones.

take this berry looking pizza lol and freeze it for 30 mins. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut the scone pizza (lol) into slices, triangles- whatever you wanna call them.

brush with cream or milk (actually, yes).

bake for 10 mins at 400.

after 10 minutes, reduce heat to 375 for another 15 mins until they’re golden brown at the top. remove them. do not let them over bake. remove. drizzzzzzzzle and then enjoy.

pull apart the scones and devour 🤤
