Springtime Activities for Kids

I am so grateful that better weather is here!Spring is a great time to get out and explore the great outdoors. You can easilyyyy turn a nature walk into a fun game! Count how many different flowers and trees you see. Are you able to name any birds/animals? These are just simple ways to add more fun into your walk. Don’t forget to collect some leaves and stones to bring home too. Having fun in the Spring doesn’t have to be complicated, here’s a few more ideas: 🌷For kids who like to cut everything, allow them to practice on flowers and leaves instead. Voila! Now you’re a fun Mom 😉 🌷 Head out to the driveway or sidewalk after a good rain, and take your sidewalk chalk with you. The water makes the colors more vivid, so you’ll be able to create some fun drawings with bright colors. Keep the mess outside the house 😉 🌷 Try a Nature Colour scavenger hunt! They’re a terrific way to help kids learn their colors as well as the various shades of colors. It also keeps them super busy!🌷 Go on a nature walk to collect beautiful leaves and small sticks to make cute butterflies. Just imagine it- stick in the middle with the leaves on the sides. 🌷 …and of course get in those rain boots and make a big SPLASH ☔️ 💦 🌷 BONUS: read your child my book “Aura’s Gratitude for Nature” 🫶🏽 @aurakidscoWill you try any of these? Got any other ideas? Let me knowww 🤍
